Studies: Hearing aids can reduce risk of dementia, but people may not be buying them over the counter

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 06:51:15 GMT

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- It's been exactly one year since the Food and Drug Administration approved the sale of over-the-counter hearing aids on Oct. 17, 2022. With more than 37 million adults suffering from hearing loss, usually only 20% get treatment. It had four grades in the bottom five. The next lowest we...
