Missouri AG faces criticism for dropping out of gambling lawsuit against highway patrol

Published Thu, 20 Feb 2025 20:41:54 GMT

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s decision to withdraw from a lawsuit against the state highway patrol has earned a sharp rebuke from his potential 2024 rivals, with candidates from both parties demanding he return campaign donations connected to companies suing the state.Bailey cited an unspecified conflict of interest for not being able to defend the Missouri State Highway Patrol in a lawsuit filed nearly two years before he took office by companies accused of operating illegal gambling devices — Torch Electronics and Warrenton Oil. The state will now be defended by private counsel. The attorney general’s decision quickly drew criticism over the fact that his campaign has received thousands in contributions in recent months from political action committees connected to the chief lobbyist for both companies.  “It is ridiculous that taxpayer dollars will now have to be spent on hiring private lawyers to defend the public interest in this litigation becaus...

Father time is encroaching on the Avalanche’s roster as an early offseason begins.Four players at least 35 years old were on expiring contracts this season. Whether Colorado wants to bring back any of those depth veterans will be central to how the organization plans to retool around its young core. There’s also the matter of whether those players want to keep going. After a 2-1 Game 7 loss to the Seattle Kraken, an emotional Erik Johnson didn’t know Sunday night if he had just stepped off the ice for the final time in an Avalanche jersey.“I haven’t really thought about it at all,” Colorado’s longest-tenured player told reporters. “… It’s sad because you put in so much work, and ultimately we did accomplish our goal here (of winning a Stanley Cup). But you don’t want to go out like this. Whether it’s the end of the road or not, I was just proud to play here for as long as I did. And just grateful for everything.&#...

The Frequency Work of Mas Sajady: A Journey to Spiritual Awakening

Published Thu, 20 Feb 2025 20:41:54 GMT

Mas Sajady is well-known to many as a spiritual icon, although he never intended to be one. His journey began with three near-death experiences that allowed him to gain a broader perspective on life and transcend the limitations of human thinking. As Albert Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same level of thinking that created it.” Mas understood this truth deeply, and it became the foundation of his spiritual awakening. As he delved deeper into his spiritual journey, he discovered that spirituality was not something that could be pursued or achieved by following certain practices or traditions. It was a state of being that could only be realized by going deep within oneself, past the limitations of the mind and genetics, and connecting with the true essence of who we are.Mas became more spiritual and began to serve as a spiritual guide for tens of thousands of individuals. However, he realized that spirituality and religious practices often lead people t...
